Star Wars: The Old Republic (TOR) kicked off at E3 with the help of the local 501st Legion. Championed by costumed Jedi and Sith from the Old Republic era, Dr. Ray Muzyka, Co-Founder and General Manager/CEO of BioWare and General Manager/Vice President of Electronic Arts Inc., and Darrell Rodriguez, President of LucasArts, revealed the first TOR cinematic trailer, “Deceived”, at the 2009 EA Press conference.

At the TOR booth, the team took E3ers through the first live demo featuring a closer look at the game’s newly revealed class, the Smuggler, as well as the combat, flashpoint, cover, and multiplayer dialogue systems.

Listen up troops. If you think you have what it takes to compete with the best soldiers on the battlefield, then we have some news for you. Saturday, June 27 at 12:00pm – 06:00pm PST and continuing Sunday, June 28 at 12:00pm – 06:00pm PST kicks off the inaugural Call of Duty: WaW Weekend Warrior competition, in which participating soldiers battle for top ranking. Soldiers with the highest combined kills from these two timeframes will earn top prizes for their courageous efforts. This Weekend Warrior competition is the kick-off contest to an ongoing series of competitions; so keep an eye on the Intel page to catch all future Weekend Warrior posts.

Each summer, the arrival of the Midsummer Fire Festival signals a time of merriment and a chance to revel in the hottest season of the year by lighting celebratory bonfires across the land and sharing in what the elemental spirits have to offer. This year (beginning Sunday, June 21st and continuing until July 5), the festival features achievements. With the release of the Secrets of Ulduar, the Argent Tournament opened its doors to heroes from all over Azeroth and saw champions arise from the ranks to take on the challenges before them to prove their worth. In the next upcoming content patch, Call of the Crusade, the Argent Tournament will be expanding its influence and players will be able to experience all-new dailies, rewards, and areas of interest.
