Thats some good RAM, but make sure you need to get the same brand of RAM that you already have in your comp. Otherwise you may run into issues with the new RAM. |

I know my ram is corsair ram but its not the same type as this. Also question on graphic cards, is BFG done making them, i have a 9800 gtx oc 512mb that i wanted to get another one to sli them but can't find one for sale. Didn't know if another brand would work with the same 9800 gtx model or if I am going to just need to buy a new graphics card if i want to up grade. |

Different brands are acceptable if they share the same specs (speed, CAS, ect.). Even if they are different specs your machine will just run them both as the lowest spec. I personally try to get the same model memory if it's still available.
My wife's machine has 2 different brands. 2x512mb GEIL PC3200 CAS 2.5 & 2x1gb Crucial PC3200 CAS 3.0. It just runs them both at CAS 3.0. |

You need to get DD2 Memory, not DDR3 like you linked us earlier. You can mix memory types (DDR, DDR2, DDR3) but you can get away with mixing CAS latency and speeds. It just runs all the memory at the highest CAS and lowest speed.

Why are you going for sli Josh? Its that that big a boost in performance. Picking up a GTX 250 or something would be a bigger boost. |
